  • About the Artist
Madrid, 1990. Manuel’s beginning in the Theory of Contemporary Art starts under the guidance of a cross-disciplinary artist, Manuel Franquelo. Profoundly interested in technology, he studied a Master in Professional 3D Animation, Digital Postproduction and Non Lineal Edition in the Professional School of New Technologies in Madrid. At the same time, he studies in depth Technical Photography and Robotics. He is at present studying for a Degree in Fine Arts in the Madrid Complutense University. In the year 2013, he starts working for and collaborating with Factum Arte, which specializes in digital mediation and the production of varied works in two and three dimensions for artists and museums, as well as the occasional development of special projects. During all these years, his interest for cultural studies, Contemporary Philosophy, the Theory of Art and the new technologies merged to create the tool that characterizes his work. In 2011, his photographic work “When EVA becomes IVA” is selected to be exhibited in the Digital Museum of Art of Argentina. The same year, he holds an exhibition in the “Sala Trasera” of the Madrid Complutense University. In 2012, his work “When EVA becomes IVA” is chosen to be exhibited in the fair “Art Takes Miami”. In 2013, he exhibits his photographic work “When EVA becomes IVA” in an exhibition held by “See Me” in New York, and he exhibits in Sala C arte C Ductus (Museo del Traje, Madrid).
