Norlisham Selamat was born in 1968, in Singapore. He received a Diploma in Commercial Design from the Malaysian Institute of Art Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1987. Later, he continued his studies in Fine Art at the Nanyang Academic of Fine Art, Singapore. Norlisham is known for his passion for Abstract Expressionism. He has been experimenting with a variety of strokes, techniques, and visuals.
He held his first solo exhibition at GRAfine art design, Malaysian Institute of Art in 2011. Norlisham has also collaborated in group exhibitions, which he started in 1992 at GAYA 10. Benjamin Art Gallery, Singapore.
