Born in 1979 in Thionville in the Moselle region of France, Myriam Carl Tonnelier holds a degree in modern literature and qualified as a school teacher in 2001. During her five years at university, she developed a solid knowledge of poetry, art history, visual arts, music, dance and physical expression. She decided to teach in schools in disadvantaged neighborhoods, using artistic education to help students with learning difficulties find meaning in their learning, and to encourage self-expression and boost self-esteem. She has initiated numerous partnerships and projects that have enabled them to perform on stage in major Moselle venues, exhibit a variety of visual works and win a poetry prize from the Centre Européen pour la Promotion des Arts et des Lettres. She became a teacher trainer in 2012 and an educational consultant in 2014. She supports school teachers with great commitment. She encourages new projects for a greater number of pupils, particularly in the arts. Since 2020, her career path and her commitment to helping others have led her to follow her own path, to follow her deepest intuition, to unleash her creativity and place art at the heart and center of her life. She finds in it her identity, her freedom and her constantly renewed inspiration.
