Mirko Baricchi was born in La Spezia on April 12, 1970.
He graduated in 1992 at the Palazzo Spinelli Art Institute in Florence. In 1993 he embarked on a journey that brought him in direct contact with the Central American visual arts. He settled in Mexico City, working as an illustrator for a well-known magazine. In 1994 he returned to Italy where he began an intense artistic activity.
Since 1992 he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in private galleries, museums and participations in art fairs.
The first exhibition at our gallery in Genoa, ‘Allo specchio’, was held in 2000, which was followed by other solo exhibitions,In teca in 2006 , Circus # 1 in 2013 and Maggese in the Milan office in 2015, on the occasion of Expo 2015. Il Vicolo also curated the Circus installation in the De Marini Croce building in 2010 as part of the Rolli event and the installation at the Vivienne Westwood showroom in Milan in 2016.
