  • About the Artist

Miguel Moran is an urban Voyeur. An observer of his time, he is in search of the present.

What better place to observe his fellow human beings in their diversity than in the metro, where this condensed humanity is found and mixed.

For the past twenty years, Moran has been wandering around with his camera and collecting moments of life that he then transcribes into his very realistic paintings.

His paintings are then titled with the place, date and time of the shooting and become "Pages of History".

A self-taught artist, photographer and painter, Miguel Moran held his first exhibition during "Brussels 2000: European Capital of Culture".

The press took an interest in him, articles were devoted to him in the most important Belgian media, he then gained the confidence of galleries, and won several competitions such as that of the Belgian Senate on two occasions or a selection for an exhibition at the SMAK (Museum of Contemporary Art in Ghent).
