  • About the Artist

Born in 1986, Melanie Feuvrier first studied audio-visual art. She met Mathieu Pernot who influenced her entry into Eric Poitevin's studio at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

Melanie Feuvrier practices different mediums such as photography, drawing and painting, choosing the environment in which she finds herself to create. She systematically uses her entourage as a model. Her photography is essentially objective and descriptive. She invests the conventions and visual codes of popular and commercial publications, but shifts the subject to the center. Her photography is like a photographic ready made.

Her work has been presented in institutional exhibitions such as the Palais des Beaux-Arts in 2014 and 2016, the Camac Art Center in 2016, as well as the 60th Salon Montrouge (curated by Stephane Corréard).
She has exhibited internationally in Singapore and New York.
The luxury hotel group Marriot commissioned her to decorate a hotel with over 80 photographs in 2016.

She has assisted internationally renowned artists such as Annette Messager, Chiharu Shiota, Andrea Bowers, Alice Anderson.
