  • About the Artist

Marion Bénard is a French artist, born in Châtenay-Malabry in 1987.

After a scientific baccalaureate, she entered the École des Beaux Arts de Paris where she was taught by Tania Bruguera, Annette Messager and Anne Rochette.

She graduated in 2012 followed by the first prize of drawing Canson Art School.

Marion Bénard exhibits in numerous group shows.

She is presented at the Graphem gallery during two solo exhibitions and is among the artists selected for the 60th Salon de Montrouge.

Abroad, she studied for a semester at the Nova Scotia School of Art and Design in Halifax, Canada and spent three months in residence at the Prairie Center of the Arts in Peoria, Illinois, USA.

In parallel to her practice, Marion Bénard created drawings for the Théâtre du Soleil and the Comédie Française and assisted the artist Annette Messager for 9 years.

Today, she lives and works in the suburbs of Paris; she creates soft and cruel works that mix volume and watercolor.
