Marie-Danielle Leblanc is a Canadian visual artist. Originally from Trois-Rivères, Marie-Danielle moved in 1990 to Montreal, where she still resides. She earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

An adventurous traveler, Leblanc incorporates her passionate ethos into her art. Her focus on landscape painting is a connection formed between her and the natural environment she depicts, in turn welcoming a connection with the viewer as well. The exploratory visage she depicts are a relief while unable to travel, as they bring the travels to us.

As she nurtures her experiments in physical life, she as well plays with art to nurture her own spirituality. Leblanc is an avid artist who is constantly creating. Her artistic oeuvre includes painting, screen printing, digital imaging, and photography. Materiality is integral to the visions Marie-Danielle creates; as her choice in medium affects the finished outcome of her works, she fosters a cycle of influence between the materials which inform her what and how it is she will create. In her shift from using epoxy resin to encaustic beeswax painting, Marie-Danielle connected more with nature through the material, and in the encaustic’s less plastic and more intimate finish.

In her long career, Marie-Danielle Leblanc is celebrated nationally and internationally. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions throughout her career, as well as having partaken in multiple international art shows and fairs during her travels. You can find Marie-Danielle Leblanc's art gracing the walls of many corporations, and on many book covers published by: "Éditions du Boréal","Éditions Québec/Amérique", and "Éditions du Renouveau Pédagogique" (three of Quebec's largest publishing houses). She has most notably won the first prize at the Paris Salon in 2010 from the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. In life, her mission remains to create intimate connections with as many people as her art can touch.
