Mariana is a Colombian artist that since the very beginning of her career her work  has been concentrated on the concept of the female body and how it is stigmatized, questioned and boasted in different cultures around the world. Always surrounded by women, she began to create a community where she investigates the secrets and taboos that exists around the female body and how each woman possesses a private micro universe in where she keeps, cares for and enhances her own body. The work highlights and embellishes these micro universes showing the world how each woman is unique and owner of her body, even if the the outside world dictates otherwise.

She graduated from The University of Los Andes in 2013 and in 2015 she embarked on a trip abroad to pursue a master's degree in sculpture at Pratt Institute, which she graduated in 2016. Since then, she has participated in large exhibitions like art fairs (La Feria del Millón, BARCÚ) and  important galleries in Bogotá (Galería Otros 360 Grados, Adrián Ibáñez Gallery) and New York, and also in artist salons in Tokyo (ARCOT).
