Marco Salvetti was born in Pietrasanta, Italy, in 1983, lives and works in  Lucca, Italy. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara. In 2008 he exhibited with Saatchi Gallery Online at the Scope Art Basel. In the same year and until 2013 he has been represented exclusively by Prometeogallery, Milano. In 2009 he participated in the fourth edition of the Prague Biennale. Two years later he won the Under 35 section of the Combat Prize, Livorno, Italy.From September 2011 until January 2012 he had a studio in Berlin at GlougauAIR and Funkhaus Nalepastrasse.In the same year he had his first solo exhibition at Centro Arti Visive Pietrasanta, New Works on Painting and Video A Game With Shifting Mirrors.In 2013 he won the third prize at the Paolo Parati in Milano. The following year he exhibited at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice in the group show Visioni per un inventario. Una mappa del navigar pittoresco.In 2015 he hosted the collective exhibition Heads at Yellow in Varese, the fourth edition of Landina (Omegna, Italy), Contemporary Italian Painting at CARS Omegna and Toscana Contemporanea curated by the Pecci Museum in Prato.In 2016 he has been invited in the group show at the Floriano Bodini Museum in Gemonio (Italy) Il Mucciolo della questione and in the same year, he produced his second personal exhibition Diorama del Nuovo Mondo at Yellow, Varese.In 2017 he exhibited at Selvatico 12 in Cotignola (Italy). The following year he participated at Reazione a catena. Differenti vie della pittura at Galleria Giovanni Bonelli in Milano.L'Antropologia is his last personal project at Ex Oleificio, Lucca  (Italy) in 2019.
