Marcela Cernadas (Argentina, 1967) lives and works between Argentina, Italy and Spain.
Her work comprehends photography, video, installations, sculptures, poetry and performances exploring the most important concepts about the human being. Questioning about the feeling of veneration, born from the respect of ancient masterpieces, the artist focuses herself on the possibility to recreate this temporary detail through her works of art. This investigation founds a complete affirmation in Venice, the city that guards treasures and precious icons of ancient art. Therefore, Cernada’s works were born by the cure and the patience, by the slow gesture of the artist that become artistic practice, where time decreases through a sacred and metaphysical meaning.
Marcela Cernadas works with Galleria Michela Rizzo since 2007.
