Magalie Launay

Magalie Launay is a painter born in 1977 in Juvisy-sur-Orge, who lives and works in Paris. Self-taught by training and passionate about drawing, she discovered painting at the age of 20, after her studies, during a year spent taking courses at the Versailles School of Fine Arts. Unable to integrate into the traditional learning process, she decides to continue her own artistic path. The years passed practicing, testing and experimenting with acrylics and watercolors, which she initially used mainly for her sketches and color notes. If her favorite subject is landscapes, she is fascinated by the changes in light and atmosphere that she works through her paintings. His curiosity leads him to visit different subjects, learn new techniques and play with styles. She thus considers that techniques are at the service of a work. In this series of paintings, the artist mixes figurative art and abstract art. She uses the material and techniques of pouring to invite, through myths and their symbolism, into dreamlike worlds where from these atmospheres legends are born into which you are invited.
