  • About the Artist

Born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1980, Luca De Angelis gets his diploma in Visual Artist Academy of fine arts in Urbino. In 2013 Luca wins the first price of Fondazione Francesco Fabbri and was invited by Andrea Bruciati to take part in a Residence program “Painting Practices” in Udine. In 2014 he wins the “Premio Combat” as special under 35 and the Fondazione Domus buys his work “Pioneer”, exhibited in Arteverona fair art and lately he moves to Belgrade to work for the Remont Gallery where he presents a solo exhibition called “Portrait of a man”. In 2016 the Civica Gallery in Milan buys his drawing “Untitled”, and the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome holds a solo exhibition of his work called “Dropout”, cured by Claudio Libero Pisano. In 2018 Luca unveils his latest solo exhibition “Messinscena” at Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, cured by Umberto Palestini. In his work, there is research about the composition, decomposition, and alteration&figure. Most of the images of his works come from the media, especially from the internet. These images are deprived of their references until the complete opening of meaning, for creating new meanings.Luca De Angelis lives and works in Milan.
