Lilou Becher is a young artist, born in 2002. Her artistic approach began when she discovered resin by hanging out with artists. What is fascinating for Lilou is how the colours become vivid and intense once this mixture covers the pigments. Consequently, it was from there that she wanted to flood the world with extreme colours. This kind of art style allows her to feel free and relieves her lack of understanding of the world and of other people. She is really inspired by impressionism, cubism and abstract art, as well as in art brut. She puts her attention mainly on the relationship between colours, texture and destruction, trying to show the world through the interplay of colours. Thanks to her style, she wants to transcribe a colourful world, agitated and destroyed by incomprehensions. Thanks to the use of resin, she is able to produce 'eye-catching' paintings that are both upsetting and soothing to look at, creating something that is somewhere between chaos and prestige.
