Luo Yi was born in 1965 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. She is an artist specialised in oil painting and contemporary art creation. Luo Yi started learning painting since childhood, teaching art in middle school for more than ten years. She lives currently in Beijing, China.
Education/Achievements/Awards
In 2008, Yi was enrolled in the oil painting graduate class of the Art College of Renmin University of China, studying with famous artists Professor Wang Keju and Professor Yan Ping.
In 2010, she entered the "Contemporary Art Theory and Criticism" seminar taught by the famous art critic Yi Ying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA)
In 2013, upon invitation of the Dujiangyan Municipal Government of Sichuan, she went to the city to participate in a sketching exhibition called "Guyan Golden Autumn".
In Oct. 2014, she participated in the Yiying Teacher-Student Oil Painting Exhibition "Ten Years Gat hering" at Shanghai Zhangjiang Contemporary Art Museum,
Mar. 2015, presented in "My Way, My Own Way" Southeast Sichuan Sketch Exhibition in Beijing 798 Yue Art Museum
Oct. 2015, she went to San Francisco, USA to participate in the "America in the Eyes of Chinese artists" themed exhibition,
Dec. 2015, participated in a joint exhibition of oil painting sketches in Suzhou Gardens "Between Wu and Wu".
In 2016, participated in the "Beautiful Shanxi" Oil Painting Exhibition.
Mar. 2017, she won the Super Star Award of the China Contemporary Women's Painting Association.
In 2017, participated in the Shou County Pear Blossom Festival sketching activities and exhibitions organized by the Liu'an Oil Painting Association.

Nov. 2019, she participated "Meng Mountain High, Yi River Long" themed exhibition in Linyi City upon invitation for famous oil painting artists. Many pieces have been collected by provincial and municipal art museums and private art museums.
