Leticia Reyero is a contemporary visual artist originally from Spain and based in Bustarviejo (Madrid). Her work encompasses various disciplines, mainly drawing, sculpture and installation. Through her artistic practice, she has explored the interaction between the organic and the symbolic, using diverse materials and techniques to create works that awaken reflection on the perception of nature, the human being and the processes of transformation and introspection. In her most recent work, Leticia continues to explore through organic abstraction, the relationship between man and nature, the duality of phenomena and the relationship between the micro and macro cosmos. She investigates the concepts of light, origin, form and emptiness, reminiscent of natural forms. Where the detail, the curved line and the finish of the surfaces take on special importance, creating works of great delicacy and subtlety. In the artist's own words, ‘art is a form of expression and communication essential for existence, that is why art is giving form to abstract thought. As well as being a means of learning and knowledge of life, in constant search’. His work challenges conventions and raises profound questions about human beings, their space and their interaction with the environment. Through a constant exploration of materials, forms and concepts, he has managed to consolidate a unique style.
