  • About the Artist

Laurent Mareschal was born in Dijon in 1975. He lives and works in Paris.

In his videos, installations and performances, Laurent Mareschal uses unexpected means.

During the displacement of symbolic contexts, a simple gesture becomes the support for a political confrontation, a game turns into a desperate struggle against time, a convivial meeting around an ephemeral installation brings out historical narratives.

Between commitment and subtlety, her projects find their strength in the experience of those who share them.

Anna Olszewska , independent curator
