Josep Maria Codina Corona ( Igualada , 1935 - Barcelona , 2006 ) was a Catalan sculptor. He studied at the Escola de la Llotja in Barcelona (1955) and later at the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc (Barcelona, 1962). He began his work as a sculptor around 1960, working in metal and wood. Around 1977 his work adapts the path of geometric abstraction , resuming in 1992 his iconic figurative origins. Developing a great career as a sculptor through his imagination and perseverance.
