Phd in Arts of the University of Cuenca, Javier Aquilué extends his artistic practice from painting to music, always revolving around how context conditions our interpretation of the work and the shaping of emotional responses through modifications on a shared imaginary.

Considering drawings as narration of their own emergence, by showing the erased paper juxtaposed to the registered image of the drawing Aquilué puts in question the relationship between original and copy, support and image, action and product, drawing and writing in a game that brings Benjamin’s auratic experience into a Samuel Beckett’s play.
