As he accompanies his father who has become senile and assists him at the end of his life, Guillaume BOISSON finds a dead box tree in his hedge. He wants to pay homage to this tree he venerates, he saw nothing coming, blames himself and discovers, delighted, the joys of sculpture.
As much happiness as wounds, despite the band-aids, passion prevails.
Until then, many jobs have punctuated his life, interspersed with many periods without. Back problems, regular and unexplained, prevent his life from going in a straight line. Of all the trades he has exercised, not a single one touched on the wood trades. When you already have more than half a century on the clock, you no longer want to go back to school, at least he doesn't. He will be self-taught or he won't be, he has patience, is rather a jack of all trades, a little gifted, he takes the time to learn.
His first sculptures give him wings, alone in his corner, he enjoys himself.
The gouges, the mallet and his imagination show him the beauty of this noble wood that is boxwood. From his discovery to this day, he spends all his time there, it doesn't bother him because he loves it. Every day since then offers him new lessons that he dreams of having until his last day, this activity makes him forget all his ills.
In short, he wishes never to be able to realize his true masterpiece.
A sensitive artist, Guillaume BOISSON loves nature, an essential source of inspiration, and suffers from his time. To overcome these traumas, he takes refuge in his art, working relentlessly in his bubble, he forgets the time and the worries offered by our civilization.
Indefinable, his works are an invitation to the imagination and incite, true odes to the Earth, to meditation and to dream...
Chance encounters made him participate, in his first year of public exhibitions, in a few competitions and exhibitions. The second prize of the city of Biarritz, category sculpture, as well as the third prize "favorite of the public" confirm him in his new life. Subsequently, he won the Grand Prize of the city of Talence organized by the SATA (Société des Arts de Talence Aquitaine).
