(b. 1977, Aydın) In 1997, she won the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, with the second place, and studied at the workshop of Adem Genç. She completed his undergraduate studies with the thesis titled “Contemporary Art and the Case of Death”.
Gözde Baykara describes the female figures she created as imitating Eve, who was expelled from her paradise because she fed "Adam" the forbidden apple, and was defined as "a seductive dangerous being". In Baykara's works, "woman" is not a spectacle object serving the male-dominated world; They are imaginary fairy tale heroes in harmony with contemporary mythology.
