Giovanni Canitano is one of the most important music photographers. He photographed the greats of rock from Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones, from R.E.M. to U2 over the past 20 years. He has followed all the Bruce Springsteen tours from 1981 to today and has published some volumes on the "Boss" including "American Skin: life and music of Bruce Springsteen" and "Real world - on the streets of Bruce Springsteen".

In addition to having photographed many characters from other sectors of the show such as directors, actors, such as Wim Wenders, Robert De Niro, Federico Fellini, Rudolf Nureyev. His images have been published in magazines and books around the world. Official photographer of many music tours, he also edited many album covers. With an unmistakable style of acid colors and strong shadows, he dedicates himself to portraiture besides the world of the Boss.

Born in Rome in 1960, he lives and works between Milan and the capital. Recently he devoted himself to the direction of photography for music videos applying his experience in the field of lighting to the service of the moving image.
