Works by FUMANI WALTER MALULEKE

Fumani has always had a deep love of art, ever since he was a young child, but found it difficult to get support as he explains that in his village there is no studio where artists can express their inner emotions. Fumani makes use of texture and pattern to shape his distinctive African stories. His artworks are influenced by the everyday rituals of those around him and the struggles that he has witnessed.
“My focus revolves around the experience of human emotions, mood, environment and exploration of elements in life that I relate to as an Artist from a marginalize village.
I literally go back to my village to walk around for days and hours to draw my inspiration…”

From 2014 to present, Fumani has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions around South Africa, with his works being presented in galleries such as Art Impact International Gallery, Julie Miller, Springs Art and John West
