  • About the Artist

Filippo Papa was born in Leonforte (Sicily, Italy) in 1986. From an early age, he developed a strong artistic passion, characterized by eclecticism and versatility. His skills range from photography, to graphic design, to the production and promotion of cultural events, video art and artistic installations of performaning art. He can boast several collective, bipersonal and personal exhibitions, such as "Treanime" in 2012, "Fotogramma" in 2014 and "Archai" in 2016.

While becoming a lover of graphic design, he obtained a Master Degree in Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania with honors, in 2006. He won numerous awards, recognitions and featured in several publications.

In 2012, one of his photos was selected among The Best In The World section by "Vogue". Furthermore, in 2014, his photographic project "Catania in black and white" was broadcast by the Italian CNN. 

In 2017, he won "Made of Sicily", an art competition founded by MostraMed based in Palermo and he was honored with the "Web Artist" special prize, issued by The Presidency of the Council of Ministers" and the Region of Sicily. He was also a finalist in the photographic competition "Arab-Norman Palermo" promoted by UNESCO. In the same year, he curated the "Look, imagine, create" graphic workshop at the Puglisi Cosentino Foundation in Catania and taught Art Drawing and Art History classes at the A. Moravia Institute.

In 2018, he founded and directed "NAXED", the first worldwide portal about artistic nude and erotic art. Finally, in 2019, he presented two solo exhibitions "Contrasto & Contesto" and "Aqua God and Man" and, for the first time, he introduced the performing project "Khaos" to his public.
