"For me, the decisive factor for my examination of grid structures is the dissolution of normativity and the creation of imperceptible irregularities.
In the manufacturing process in particular, the smallest differences occur, which can only be recognized by taking a closer look.
What looks like perfection and precision at first glance requires a close look at the barely visible deviations.
The fragility of the materials, surfaces and structures breaks the uniformity of the starting material."
Fiene Scharp was born 1984 in Berlin, Germany. Between 2004 and 2012 she studied at Humboldt Universität and Universität der Künste Berlin. She lives and works in Berlin.
