Enrique Ježik's work is based on multidisciplinary practices focused on direct and explicit attacks on censorship, surveillance and different forms of control strategies, being radically

critical of normalised, legal or falsely democratic repressive systems and mass media dynamics of communication and politicisation. In his works he uses weapons, war machinery and industrial materials as formal or sculptural components, or as readymades, being performance one of the pillars of his work, in addition to using other media, from drawings or texts, to architectural interventions in public spaces. The tension generated by the violence and aggressiveness in Ježik's pieces is experienced not only by the viewers, but often implies a real, potential or latent risk from the production processes. Ježik establishes references to art history, such as American minimalism or Russian suprematism, with specific formal and conceptual implications in each case.

Ježik has had solo exhibitions in venues such as: Laznia Contemporary Art Center, Gdansk, Poland (2022); Galería Metropolitana, Santiago, Chile (2019); Fundación OSDE, Buenos Aires (2018); Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Mexico City (2017); Galería Vermelho, São Paulo (2015); Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City (2011). Collectively his work has been exhibited in various institutions such as Museo Carrillo Gil; Museo de Arte Moderno (Mexico City), Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Buenos Aires), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), Musée des Beaux Arts (Montréal), Art Sonje Center (Seoul), as well as in the biennials of Mercosur (Porto Alegre, 2003), São Paulo (2010), Ljubljana (2011), Shanghai (2018) and BienalSur (Buenos Aires, 2019).
