Elisabetta Cardella, born 1980, works in Bologna (BO), Italy.
Her current work incorporates aspects of all of these different phases of technical and conceptual development. She uses digital mixed media to create portraits and creatures living in surreal atmospheres, suspended in time. Lightness and transparency are achieved through combining different kinds of organic forms and textures. She explores the relationship between the body and nature, feelings, emotions, instincts and primordial human weaknesses. She creates a dialogue between traditional art forms and new media, bringing contemporary imagination to revisit classical compositions.
