Eleonora Taranova is a self-taught painter, born in 1971 in a small town in Ukraine. As a child, she lived in a house with lots of animals and observed their behavior. She learned to portray the emotions and movements of pets and people by herself since there was no art school in the town.
After working as a teacher at a higher school for over 20 years, she quitted her job because of the disease and took up painting as a hobby. Now she is working as a full-time artist. As the main topic of her art for the last 10 years, Eleonora has chosen animals and human emotions.
Inspired by the rock carvings' coloristic and the works of Rembrandt, Francis Bacon, Mikhail Vrubel, Franz Mark, Eleanora Taranova is trying to bring the idea of empathy and respect to living beings and express the relationship between them and the surrounding world.
