Detlef Kappeler is a German architect, professor and painter. His artistic work makes him a contemporary representative of Expressionism.
In the 60s he was influenced by Pop Art, thereby creating something different that would define what he would be as an artist in these years.
In addition to teaching, he is an active participant in political circles where issues such as military rearmament, nuclear energy or ecology are discussed.
After 1994, he established his workshop in Barcelona.
