Davide Serpetti was born in L’Aquila in 1990. He lives and works between L’Aquila and Milan. He graduated in Painting and Visual Arts at NABA, New Academy of Fine Arts Milan (2009-2012). After a short teaching experience alongside Marco Bongiorni, in 2014 he moved to Belgium and obtained a Master in Fine Arts at the KASK – Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Gent (2015).

His works are thought of as icons, starting from the face (which represents emotion for him) he builds the whole scenario around. Animals are an essential part of his life, as a teenager he had a strong relationship with the forest, plants and animals. His animals represent the instinct and irrationality of childhood that remains in each of us.
