Introduced to clay at primary school, he graduated from Cardiff University in 2001. In 2002 he began researching sculptural and modernist vessels, also developing natural monochrome surfaces and experimenting forms with ratios and scale. In 2012 began working with wheel-thrown pieces, deconstructed-reconstructed vessels, creating forms with suggestions of function. Introduced to Anagama kiln in 2015, he develops clay bodies and experiments the effects of natural ash glazing.
