In her work, Cristina Ramírez (Toledo, 1981) explores the representation of a horror of cosmic origins. Drawings are her principal means of exploration.
She addresses the fear of supernatural forces bursting into everyday life; the manifestation of the conflict generated by the rise of an inexplicable phenomenon, exceptional in the realm of reality. This preoccupation, one of the core aims of her work, is also the essence and basis of the fantastical, of the transgression of reality.
