  • About the Artist

Coquelicot Mafille was born in Paris in 1975 to a Franco-Danish mother and an Italian father. She completed her classical studies in high school, graduated in political science at the University of Pavia with an African-Asian address with flying colors and an academic kiss. She declines his practice through various media including embroidery and writing, on canvas, fabric, paper, urban walls and shop windows, with metal wire, paint and adhesive and videos and environmental recordings. Her work has been exhibited in Italy and France, in group exhibitions including in Milan, the Chinatown Biennial, Galleria Davide Gallo, (07/17), at TheOthersArt Fair in Turin, (10/16) and ArtVerona, independent space i7 , together with International Coffee of Palermo (10/16); in Naples, Intragallery (03/16), Vis à Vis, Galerie de l'Institut Français de Milan (03/16); TRI-BU ", BeatTricks gallery, Milan, (15/10); Hybrid maps and personal exhibitions including Richiami, in Archimania, Sanremo, (02/17); Encyclopedia, in SibillaArte, Carassai, (06/16) and in the Caffè Internazionale, Palermo (02/16); LE MUR, rue Oberkampf, Paris, wall n ° 190 (07/15).

In 2018 she participated, together with Sara Alavi, in the duo-personal exhibition Due respiriri, un passo, at the art gallery Gli Eroici Furori an exhibition with a strong and current social connotation, dedicated to the theme of immigration.
