Chuah Phaik Hoon was born in Taiping, Perak in 1973 and graduated from Kuala Lumpur College of Art, majoring in Fine Art (1992-1994) She places traditional objects and motifs of different Malaysia cultures in painting to depict the goodness and beauty of the country. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions locally in Malaysia and a member of Malaysian Watercolour Society and Malaysian Artists Society.
