Chaiyapong Hongtong (1979) is a successful young painter from Bangkok, Thailand. He is also known as Tor. He studied at King Mongkut Institute of Technology, and at the College of Fine Arts in Bangkok. Since then, his art has gained international recognition, and many of his paintings are in private collections around the world.
Tor uses thick layers of acrylic paint in bright contrasting colors to create unique, eye-catching paintings. In 2005 he opens his own studio and gallery. Tor finds his inspiration in the faces of women. Women with brightly colored lips and eyes. Tor's artworks consist of beautiful color and shape compositions. In his work femininity and spontaneity form an interplay.
