Caroline C. Couralet is sensitive to the world, to colours, to matter. Fascinated by the sea and open spaces, painter and sailor, reveals her inner world on canvas. One foot on the water,
gaze on the horizon and head in the clouds. When she talks about her life course, we first see this red thread in transparency. Then the words give it body in a sensitive and natural way, with already, an intensity, a vibration particular. This presence, which is revealed through what it tells, shapes its history and expresses itself on the canvas. It is instinct. For beyond the character trait, what emanates from this young woman is a force that she herself does not possess, does not always manage to tame, but which affirms itself and radiates through its creations. And there is something infinitely touching, moreover, to see and perceive what art allows it to do. let it shine through. The anchoring of this power of expression has its source in a sensibility extreme. The daughter of a fisherman, Caroline grew up in a small Provencal seaside village. A simple life, which feeds on coastal atmospheres. The softness, the skin warmed by the sun, the refreshing water, the contemplation, but also in parallel: the harshness of life on the water, the bodies that suffer, the sun that burns, the the cold that bites, the violent wind, the raging sea, cruel that destroys, capsizes the ships, Take the sailors away and leave a gaping hole in the hearts of the children.
