Bernard Martin, a landscape artist by training, has been painting for about ten years. His work aims to explore possibilities in terms of geometric assemblies, interlocking abstract forms, as well as landscapes often on the verge of abstraction. His portraits or depictions of characters lean towards suggestion rather than realistic representation. Often working with acrylic, his other creations combine the use of pastels, India ink, and charcoal. He has participated in collective and solo exhibitions in Paris and throughout the provinces.
