Sergio Sundblad was born in 1944 in Buenos Aires. He is an architect. The internationally renowned art critic Jorge Romero Brest, founder of the Di Tella Institute, has discovered him. Sundblad is what is called a colourist, a painter who breathes life and meaning of color. The color scheme created by him is always bold and arbitrary, beyond conventional formulas, all harmonious in his own unique way. He can be defined as a naive painter with a pop-folk side. His theme world always refers to a world of children's eyes full of angels, virgins, cribs, mothers, churches and their symbolism. He takes even profane themes as carnival or festivals. By integrating graffiti in his paintings he can even becomes political.

He has participated in many exhibitions in Argentina and also in Germany.
