Amato Patriarca was born in Rome in 1945. He lives and works in Milan, where he started his artistic career. He is a 360 degrees artist: painter, sculptor, engraver, costumer, advertising graphic designer and fashion labels designer. Patriarca's painting is made of vivaciously coloured tiles and it calls to mind the American Pop Art; the subjects as well: urban crowds, advertising panels, urban landscapes and engravings all remind Pop Art. He made more than 150 collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad since the 90s, and 60 solo exhibitions with relevant institutional acknowledgements. With his works, Amato Patriarca leads us to a journey, a concrete corporeal transfer through the alternating moments of our daily urban experience: on his canvasses, a meticulous fresco of rhythms and urban modulations, where everything distractedly sliping away from our awareness is captured and exaggerated from the peculiar chromatic sensitivity of the painter.
