Works by ÁNGEL CAÑAS
Self-taught artist who, after many years dedicated to painting, found in the infinity of recycled materials the perfect way to express his artistic sense. Moved by his interest in the environment, he began to work with different waste materials and started experimenting with the most polluting and abundant materials, focusing on rubber, plastics and other waste materials whose versatility and properties he saw great possibilities. The result is a world of powerful medium and large sculptures with a strong presence and personality, great realism and a clear ecological message: all waste has its value to take on a new life.
The synergy of three visible sectors: Art, motor and environment has led him to position himself as one of the referents in this type of art.
His art and his social message has reached the United Nations Climate Summit (COP25), the Telefónica Foundation, the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, the Spanish Olympic Committee and the National Museum of Natural Sciences, among others.
