Andrea Cocciolo, known as ‘’TOSH’’, was born in Santa Margherita (GE) in 1995, he graduated in 2012 earning the ‘’diploma’’ of ‘’maestro d’arte’’ at ‘’Liceo artistico E.Luzzati’’ in Chiavari (GE), where he lives right now. Since his first steps, he’s well known in the Ligurian artistic scene where he proposes a new relationship between the American Pop Art and our society, indeed one of his first artwork can be considered the reinterpretation of ‘’Toan Crawford Says’’, American painter James Rosenquist’s masterpiece. TOSH attended collective and personal exhibitions, art fairs and live performances across the country. Moreover, he worked for Ernst Knam and Patron Tequila and he’s already been published on the national press like ‘’’SECOLO XIX’’, ‘’LA STAMPA’’, and ‘’GRAZIA’’. Every single work reflects the artist’s point of view of the artistic world that he approaches with different techniques such as oil and acrylics colours, enamelling and crayons. Viewers sight is captured by his bright colours and ‘’every day’’ images joined by different generations, that he also defines with the term ‘’New Pop’’.
