Andrea Giovannini was born in 1962 , in Lugo di Romagna (Ravenna, Italy).
After graduating, he developed his artistic research placing himself among the exponents of Italian Neovedutismo, an artistic movement aiming at representing the landscape through a careful observation of light, intended as a state of mind. In 1981, Giovannini started his exhibition activity and since then, he has collaborated with various art galleries and has participated in important exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.

The landscape is a recurrent theme in Andrea Giovannini's work, as landscapes are tools to express his poetic vision. Giovannini claims that the suggestive feeling transforms itself into awareness of one's own living among the contemporaneity of events and everyday life, in harmony with the natural and anthropic environment in which the urban component emerges in its specificity.

His trips to Europe and the United States were fundamental for his artistic research, focused on spatiality as a descriptive category. In the need to transfigure the memories of what he has lived and deeply loved, Boccadoro’s artistic practice consists in using mixed techniques of painting on a tempera and acrylic wooden table, with pastel finishes.
