  • About the Artist

Alexia Chevrollier, born in 1989, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Dijon in 2012 and from the University of Paris-Sorbonne in Art Theory Research in 2018.

Her work has been shown in several group and solo exhibitions in France (Centre Pompidou de Metz, Centre d'Art contemporain Parc Saint Léger, La Villa Belleville, ART-O-RAMA, Marseille, Galerie Interface, La cantine d'art contemporain de Belfort ...) and abroad (art center Les Brasseurs in Liège, Métaculture Cultural Center in Kiev).

The artist has also been laureate and finalist of several awards (Laureate of the CRAC 2018 young audience award and the Young Talents Côte-D'or award in 2013, finalist for Contemporary Talents 2013 of the François Schneider Foundation) and has completed several research and creation residencies.

Alexia Chevrollier seeks to question the notion of time, whether on an individual or collective scale, through her work in sculpture, painting, video and installation.

For this, she is interested in the living, its cycles and gives us to see the complexity of materials, from its organicity to its fragility through its carnal dimension.

Alexia Chevrollier is represented at Maison contemporain since June 2020.
