Alexander Korzer-Robinson is a German born in 1975 who lives and works in London, UK. His works transforming antiquarian books have brought him international acclaim. Working mainly in collage and related techniques, the practice's focus are sculptural artworks made from antiquarian books. The base material for his "cut book sculptures" are old books that have been stripped of their utilitarian value by the passage of time. Working through a book, page by page, a new compostion is formed using only the contents of the original volume.
