Adrián Socorro highlights moments of existence to which we normally do not pay much attention. People, animals, things that we come across at some point and immediately forget... or ignore from the beginning. The artist gives them a singular timelessness. And also of a consistency that places them in the realm of dreams, in which the lines tend to blur and the mists attenuate the colors.
These works could be the artist's reunion with certain ghosts, shreds of memory... or simple therapy against boredom. But the ensemble is like a symphony: dissimilar "sounds" that are harmonized in a forceful speech.
Adrián Socorro's lyricism is not in the details: a few brushstrokes are enough to recreate atmospheres and feelings. It is the poetry of the common. It is the poetry that distinguishes the common.
